You are invited to come and pray with us even if you have been away from regular Mass attendance for awhile. If you would like to know more about our parish community or the Catholic Church today, please feel free to contact Msgr. Michael Hazard (269)343-6256 X 103 or Sister Mary Catherine (269)343-6256 x 108. We would be happy to hear from you.

The Holy Mass and Sacraments are the bedrock of Catholic worship. We all have an important role as members of the assembly gathered to worship God and to offer ourselves to God in union with Jesus. Our presence and our prayer builds up the worshipping community. Members come forth from this community to serve in various ways. Click here to see the opportunities for service.

Liturgy of the Word for Children

We are committed to making sacred scripture more meaningful for our children by providing a separate celebration of the Liturgy of the Word. The format used is the same that's followed in the main church assembly with readings, responses, Gospel and prayers of the faithful. The difference is the accompanying music and the prayers are age appropriate and the readings are taken from the children's lectionary.

The basic premise is that children have the right to hear God's word in language more easily understood by them. This enables the stories to become more alive and more meaningful to the children. The leaders emphasize that God's word has special meaning for everyone and "break open" the word of God with the children.

It is offered during the 8:45 AM English Mass and 1:15 PM Spanish Mass on Sundays.

The experience of sharing scriptures with a child is one that touches the hearts of both the leader and the participants.  The opportunity to do that on a regular basis is the foundation of this particular liturgical ministry.  Interested?  Please contact Beth McElhone (269) 343-6256 x 113 for the English Mass and Laura Duran for Spanish Mass (269) 615-1426.
