100th Anniversary Celebration
St. Joseph Church celebrated the 100th Anniversary of our Church Building the weekend of August 15-16. Bishop Bradley celebrated Mass Saturday evening with Monsignor Mike and Deacon John. Sunday food, games, bluegrass music, dancers, classic cars and an old fashioned pig roast was the order of the day. While the weather was hot and humid, over 400 folks came to celebrate. Memorabilia was on display in the Church for people to view. There were photographs, chalices and bread plates for Communion, banners, the antique votive calendar holder, memory boards, vestments and many other items from years gone by. Parishioners were dressed in fashions of the era. Ladies wore beautifully decorated hats, dresses and the men got in on the act, too. It was certainly a day to remember.
Many thanks to Bill and Dee Axe, Ron and Maribeth Huster, Jan Cady and Lydia McNamara for planning this wonderful event. A huge shout out to the many volunteers who volunteered in various ways to make this memorable for all.

2017 Msgr. Hazard Golf Classic
God shined upon the 11th Annual Monsignor Hazard Classic with beautiful clear skies and perfect temperatures on Saturday, August 17, 2017 at Ridgeview Golf Course. This year the even raised $4226.50 for the parish. 72 golfers joined this year's event with many new faces. The golf committee is always glad to see the golfers, priests and volunteers sharing fellowship, swapping stories and preparing for another great day at the golf course. Memories are made. Many of these folks have been involved in the previous events as players or volunteers since the first Monsignor Hazard Golf Classic in 2007. It was at the urging of our dear friend and former co-pastor, Father John Peter, that a golf outing would be a wonderful way to bring the parish and its friends together for a day of fun and camaraderie, as well as raise funds for the parish coffers. Chuck and Gwen Woroniecki heard the call and led the charge until turning the reigns over to Lil Manor and the golf committee a few years back. Wonderful door prizes and raffles were once again offered. The golf committee is always amazed and impressed by the generosity of the hole sponsors, door prize donors, as well as those who continue to support the event anonymously. Thank you doesn't begin to express how appreciative and grateful we are to each and every one of you. Sandy Bloomfield (Julianna's Restaurant) and Scott Betzler (Betzler Funeral Homes) lead the way every year in supporting the outing. THANK YOU!!!!!!! A heartfelt thanks to our dear priests, Monsignor Mike and Father Andrew. The day's events bring nonstop smiles to Father Mike's beautiful face as he witnesses the warmth and fellowship that the outing generates. Father Andrew (he may have a future in used car sales when he retires) has true gift for hawking raffle tickets. Upon arrival at hole #3 or hole #10 (depending where he was at the time), he would switch immediately into selling mode. A record number of tickets were sold, he was very convincing telling folks that they needed to purchase one or several. Rumor has it that some folks were asking for their ticket(s) to be blessed to increase their chances of winning.
Please remember to patronize the door prize and hole sponsors whenever you can. The event is truly one of a kind because of their generosity.
Mark your calendar for the 12th Annual Monsignor Hazard Golf Classic to be held Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Ridgeview Golf Course.
2016 Msgr. Hazard Golf Classic
This year marked the 10th Anniversary of the Msgr. Hazard Golf Classic. Eighty four golfers (new record) participated in the event on August 13, 2016 at Ridgeview Golf Course. The day started off with coffee, muffins, fruit, orange juice and coffee. While the anxious golfers were ready to hit the links at 9AM sharp, God had another plan. After a forty five minute rain delay, the action and competition began. There were mulligans to be bought, 50/50 raffle tickets and a array of wonderful door prizes to be given away. To mention of a few of the items: Golf clubs, once again by the generous Tony Ciluffo, Golf lessons donated by Chuck and Gwen Woroniecki, Lighthouse picture from Vladmir Arts, Salut Wine Basket, Massages by Becky Smith Brancheau and of course many rounds of golf donated by golf courses, near and far. Lunch was served and prizes were awarded. The 50/50 raffle winner received $312.50., with the other $312.50 going to the parish. The Golf Committee is always grateful and surprised at the generosity of the donors and hole sponsors. Please watch the bulletin and upcoming Parish Pride to see who these folks are.
The 1st place winners were: Ron Aldrich, his son, Adrian, Herb Winnell and his son, Sean. They shot a score of 57--14 under par. Congratulations!!!!
A special thanks to Sally Hammond (and Dick) for their superb job in acquiring door prizes....Sally sets a goal and always achieves it!!!! Dick is her driver and enjoys every minute of his job as chauffeur.
2015 Monsignor Hazard Golf Classic
It all began in the Spring of 2007. Father John Peter Ambrose, then Associate Pastor of St. Joseph Parish had an idea for a parish event that would benefit the parish financially, but more importantly bring the parish family together for fun, food and fellowship. He approached long time parishioners and avid golfers, Chuck and Gwen Woroniecki about an annual golf outing. The Wornoniecki's were more than happy to take on this responsibility and have been the driving force behind the event for the past 8 years. This year, 2015 saw the reins being handed over to the Golf Committee, chaired by Lil Manor. The 9th Annual Monsignor Hazard Classic was held on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Ridgeview Golf Course. As always, a good time was had by all, golfers, volunteers, and those who joined the group for lunch and prize presentations. Over $5100.00 was raised for the parish. Please mark your calendar for the 10th Annual Monsignor Hazard Classic to be held August 13, 2016.

Many parishioners came, some rode the wagon while others dressed in traditional Irish dress walked and distributed candy and information about our wonderful parish to the onlookers. The weather was fantastic and everyone had a wonderful time.
